Do you have ideas for staff development courses that are not available locally? 

Do you want to provide state-of-the-art credit courses prior to a state-wide conference?

Check out the menu of courses to see what is available. Courses are tailor-made to fit your professional needs and are offered at a site and time that is convenient for you. Courses carry 1-3 credits with each credit requiring 15 contact hours. Courses can be offered on weekends, during your staff development days, prior to or following a conference or daily during the summer. The Office of Extension Programs covers all expenses and, in conjunction with the Gallaudet University Regional Center (GURC) for the area, markets the courses. The sponsoring agency or institution assists with providing a classroom and securing equipment.

Sponsors, to request that any of the courses listed in this menu be taught at your site, a group of qualified people (generally 10 or more) must be willing to enroll in the course. Contact Extension Programs at Gallaudet or your Gallaudet University Regional Center to schedule courses in your region of the country.

Note: Extension Programs do not offer sign language skills courses but such classes are available through Gallaudet's Professional Studies and Training Programs.
